Replacement of Visiwink visual pressure gauge on BS500 unit

Replacement of Visiwink visual pressure gauge on BS500 unit

- Flip the BS500 base unit over (handle facing towards you)

- remove the 4 off security screws (keep safe as will need these again)

- remove the base plate 

Note: take note of the orientation of the base plate

- In the top right hand corner you will see the back side of the visiwink indicator, connected to a 4mm tube via push in fitting

  

- Remove tube by pushing down on the collar on the fitting and pulling tube outwards

- The nut of visiwink can be removed by ‘pushing’ gently with a flat headed screwdriver.

 

- Once the nut has started to move, it is easier to hold the nut with one hand and rotate the visiwink form the outside of the BS500 base unit

    

Once fully removed, fitment of the new visiwink is a reverse of the above.

Please note: orientation of visiwink should be such that the small ‘pimple’ on the green face should be facing downwards

 

- Once the nut is completely hand tight, the nut should be secured to the housing with an appropriate securing compound e.g. Loctite 7400

- once complete, refit tube to push in fitting

- replace base plate and secure in place with the 4 off security screws
