below is an explanation on how the calibration due date works on CMP
ICM2.0 and ICM4.0 derivatives & CML3
The "calibration due" date is supposed to be 1 year from "first use of product."
This is detected by the firmware but we don't want to "trigger" this by accident such as powering the unit up before shipping. So the firmware has some rules about when to set the calibration due date.
- At least two weeks must have elapsed from the actual calibration date for the calibration due date to get reset
- 5 consecutive tests needed to trigger setting the calibration due date
- If unit is in simulation mode then tests are not counted for this
When these conditions are met then the calibration due date is set to 1 year from the current date.
LPA3 & CML4 Derivatives
Intent is for a "calibration due" date one year after "first use" of the unit by the customer. The firmware will automatically reset the "calibration due" date to current date + 1 year when ALL of the required conditions are met:
- more than 2 weeks have elapsed from the calibration date and
- more than 5 total non-simulated pump cycles have been done
The 5 tests do NOT have to be consecutive, they can be spread out over a long time period. The total number of pump cycles recorded and is used for this.
